As our Franczek colleagues previously reported, under Illinois law, Illinois employers—including schools, colleges, and universities—must train all employees on sexual harassment in employment by December 31, 2020. We also recommend training for all staff by year-end on changes required by the new Title IX regulations. (Yes, despite the recent election, we expect the new regs to remain part of our lives for some time.) If your school, college, or university has not trained employees already, it’s not too late to comply! We offer a training package that can quickly, easily, and—most importantly—effectively train your staff on required and recommended topics. Contact us to obtain training resources from the team you know and trust for Title IX compliance.

The Franczek training package includes:

  • A recorded 1-hour training tailored to your educational institution, which you can share with all employees to review on their own time before December 31. A 30-minute training focused only on Title IX is available for educational institutions that have already completed state-mandated employment training.
  • A substantial PowerPoint handout for employees to keep and use as a resource after the training.
  • Questions and answers that you can use to assess employees’ understanding and easily create a record of attendance. Our team will work with you to set up the questions through your platform of choice (e.g., Google Forms, Survey Monkey).

Educational institutions can use the training package for an unlimited number of employees. The package is accessible throughout the school year, so it is available to train any new hires as needed. For more information on the training package, contact Jackie Gharapour Wernz or any other Franczek attorney.
